Dreamed of Italy, landed in Portugal at 15.
He grew up, quite literally, in a kitchen. As a boy he dreamed of Italy, but one of life's almost mythical coincidences brought him to Portugal at 15. Travel and study led him into images and audiovisual production. Years later life turned again and brought him back to the kitchen, where it all began. This time with a new challenge: TORAYA.

In Japanese, TORAYA means house of the tiger. The tiger stands for courage, protection and determination, and 屋 (ya) means house or shop.
